Brent is a life-long Burlington resident with deep roots in the community. As a local Realtor, he prides himself on service to others. This sense of service is particularly evident in his charitable activities, most significantly through his work as a Rotarian where he is a Past-President of the Rotary Club of Burlington Lakeshore and Co-Chair of Canada's Largest Ribfest. Brent is also a member of the Board of Directors of Burlington's Carpenter Hospice. As well, he is an active supporter of The Burlington Teen Tour Band, both as a parent and former member himself.
